o/t ford freestyle remote starter

Post by dvpman »

Hi,

As you might know, Canada is cold and getting into a warm car first thing in the morning can be the best thing in the world :) So can anyone offer any advise about a unit for the 2005 ford freestyle, can it be done by someone who has done motorola installs? (only a few and by no means a pro)

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Mike

need more details on your freestyle (year ,etc.....)

ford has thier own remote start systems (very costly) made by code alarms. Depending on model lots of extras with them .

Any brand remote starter will work with the car as long as it has an "ground out when active "lead for the "PATS" bypass kit.
I would strongly recomend buying the ford "securilock bypass kit" and avoid the aftermarket ones . buy the time you buy the aftermarket kit and buy an extra key for it , you will have spent more then for the ford one. the ford system is more secure and less prone to failures .

If you want more info for your install pm me and will give the info you need
