MNDOT Strobes

just curious if anybody knows what model heads and power supplies the MNDOT trucks have on them and how much power is being fed to each head. just really impressed with how bright their strobes are.

are they the grommit type that are where the dot lights go???

if so theyre the whelen 500 series type i believe...
I TURN THE KNOB, THE LIGHT BLINKS AND IT BEEPS.........THATS ALL IT DOES!!!!!!

Probably a WHELEN USP OR ISP type supply being operated in DOT mode.

PJ would know but I think there's even an MNDOT package. I know they exist for IL and CON DOT among others as custom systems.

it is called the DOT package from whelen with a few choices for heads

but the way the system work it the 2 heads in the rear flash together and the 2 heads on the head board Flash together

cause when u stack the trucks on the side of the road it makes it easyer to judge Distance
