Is it possible to take the RF board out of a Minitor V 46.xx and put in a RF board with 151.xxxx?

Unlike the II's, the V's were never meant to be serviced outside of Motorola Depot. There is no documentation floating around and there is no ready supply of parts or sub-assemblies for this kind to mod. Even if you have a VHF Minitor to take the rf board from, why would you since it's already in a pager? (Unless, of cours,e the HB pager is dead. Even then, you've no guarantee that the rf board in the HB pager is not the problem.)

Since the V is discontinued and /\/\ is not offering the VI in low band, the market for used LB pagers will continue for quite a while to come. That means that the selling price could be higher than if there was a newer Minitor available in LB. Better to sell off the LB and either purchase a used HB in the right split, or if budget allows, buy a VI. The bugs seem to be worked out of them and they perform at least as well as the V's plus they have some extra features.
