MCS2000 programming

Post by HZT »

Can MCS2000 800 MHz mobile radios be forced into low side frequency recieve capabilty? Is there a hack that can be done, in order to be able to build a portable repeater system? If so, whats the trick?

No, sorry, not gonna happen. Simplex in 800Mhz is defined as being in the 851-869 part of the band, so there was never a need for Motorola to have the radios designed to receive in the 806-824 part of the band.
