EX600XLS OOB w/CPS 6.12.05

Post by danlewis »

I'm trying to get an EX600XLS to go down to 440 MHz. When I read the config, the radio info shows that it covers 450 to 527 MHz.

I have CPS 6.12.05 patched as follows:

rui41.dll 0x2729 changed to 83 E0 00

ProRadio.exe changed as follows:

0027e45d EB 58
0027e4c3 EB 58
002f3864 EB 58
0027e4bb EB 58

I gleaned the above from various messages in this thread on another site: http://communications.support/threads/1 ... -band-hack, but there is wrong/conflicting info in some of the posts.

I can modify the radio info to bring the lower limit to 440 MHz. I can write the config to the radio. However, when I read the config back from the radio it returns 450 MHz as the lower limit.

Looking for pointers/suggestions. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Dan

Just out of curiosity, does the radio end up reading the 440mhz frequency. if I have a low band radio 127.000 can I change it to a 46.xx frequency?

So I have verified that the patches above are good. What I learned is that if the config is re-read from the radio, the lower limit is reset in the software. Set it back to where you want it and you're good to go. Successfully programmed both the EX600XLS and an HT1550XLS to go down to 439 MHz.
