MTR2000 courtesy beep

Post by berkinet »

We are upgrading our repeater from a GR1225 to a MTR2000. On the GR1225 we have the Courtesy Over Beep enabled. We would like the same on the MTR2000 but cannot seem to find the option. We are using the built-in controller in both radios.

Are we missing something? Or, does the MTR2000 only support a courtesy beep with an add-on controller?

Thanks.

Well, I seem to have been able to answer my own question... it seems the MTR2000 internal controller does not support a courtesy beep. SO, on to hardware solutions...

That is correct. The MTR 2000 internal controller supports very basic repeat functions, timing functions and identification functions. For anything beyond that, you will need an external controller of some sort. There is a plethora of information on how to interface repeater controllers to the MTR 2000 at this link: http://www.repeater-builder.com/motorol ... index.html
