I don't do many XTL radios, but have one on the bench now and trying to read it using a HKN6163 cable and cannot get the radio to connect at all. I have used the cable before with no problems, tried with Windows XP machine and a Windows 10 machine with no luck, running 20.01.00. Only change I can think of is upgrading from an earlier version of CPS to 20.01.00.
Any trouble shooting suggestions would be appreciated.

No need to go back to XP. The radio may be stuck in a boot loop and won't read. Does the radio show maintenance mode at any time?

APCO 25 - the radio transmits and receives fine, just cannot get the computer to recognize the USB cable.
Thanks

If the PC doesn't recognize the USB cable, delete the USB driver and reboot as per usual as well as the CPS. PC issue not a radio issue then.

That is my best guess on why the radio is not recognized, strange that it worked on my Windows 98 computer for years and then stopped working when I upgraded. Gotta love the big M's - Microsoft and Motorola..
