Actually, you're a little off.

P2 is the BIM interface. P1 and P3 are Aux I/O interfaces.

The way to remember is not TX/RX/Log SKIP. There is no skip. All pairs except pair 13 (38,13) are used. People use "skip" to remember the 2w/4w and the "skip" is the logging.

Hope that helps,

To qualify that a bit, the only "factory ready" slots that support the "smart" cards (omi/Tomi/Lomi/Coim/Timi/Aimi) are 5 & 6. You can also utilize slots 1 & 10 via jumper configuration on the card cage backplane. Any other slots require an AUX card be used in the corresponding slot above the card. Also be aware you should not put more than 3 "smart" cards in the same card cage, as you run a significant risk of burning up the card cage power wiring/connector due to excessive current draw.

three processor cards is absolutly correct.
however as the beast has so many ways to configure it no one is right all the time.
for instance we have a coim in slot 10 that just does permanent patch.
it lets us patch VHF marine channels to our 800 trunking so the marine patrols need 1 radio.
we also patch a/g to 800 and some other stuff as well.
no aux card just an RS232 when we need to program.
our AIMI's sit in slots 1 and 10 as well (different cages of course) as well as a full console poition in slot 3 with an RS232 board on top and a roci next door.

Yep, as I said, slots 1 & 10 are useable via jumpers on the backplane.
