PURC 5000 with Advanced controls PL question

Post by chris43 »

I have a PURC 5000 with Advanced controls version 3.69. The
programming sheets for version 3 that I have show an option for PL /
DPL however I cannot get them to come up on the display.

Do I have the right version for PL / DPL?

Do I need additional hardware PL / DPL?

If it is not capable were would I inject PL properly using an
external pl board?

Thanks in advance for any help

v3.69 of the PURC 5000 ACB firmware is the last public release. While there is an option for PL/DPL on receive, it'd not implemented anywhere that I'm aware of. Looking through the firmware shows the there is a TX PL/DPL option as well but it is not enabled. How to enable that is beyond me. Given the that PURC 5000 ACB is a paging specific unit, it was never intended to be used in repeater service.

If you want to take a step back in time, you can put in a Standard Control Tray and run in a repeater mode but then that generation of PURC 5000 was a MSF 5000 modified to deal with Paging.
