D37 maxtrac trunking to conventional TX issue

Post by CTAMontrose »

ive converted several D37 trunking maxtracs to conventional for use in 927 ham radio use, well they TX fine as trunking radios, but after conversion to conventional, they will not key.. pushing the PTT button does nothing.

the firmware installed is 5.34, and the radio was blanked with the "keep tuning values" and reinitialzed as a 16ch D37 high signalling with "retain old tune values"

these also have the RF boards that dont have the typical tuning data that im used to with a VHF or UHF, but as for the "temprature compensation" or whatnot.

what gives here? im sure its something stupid, but its got me stumped.

You used the wrong firmware. The 5.34 is conventional firmware for the VHF/UHF/800 radios. The 900 radios use a different logic board and different firmware. You need FVN4019A.
