MTX transmit on 902

Post by kato56 »

It appears that my MTX is not transmitting on 902, but transmits ok on 927 (verified using a receiver to listen to MTX)
I followed the threads on tweaking the vco's using the fractional-n-synthesizer comparator voltages using labtools.
Is my problem within the "LO" vco, and I can use explaination in the thread about lowering the hex steps to attempt to achieve lock?

Thanks

MTX...

The MTX plays fine, no internal work. Every so often there is one where the synth won't lock...But no too often.

Sorry for not clarifying....... I was referring to MTX-9000 JEDI series in my original post.
I heard the the GENESIS series ex. MTX-900 won't do conventional 902-927????? without a mod.... could be wrong.

No, you heard right...The GENESIS version MTX900S will NOT work within the ham bands without MAJOR internal surgery...BUY an MTX9000, or GTX and have fewer headaches.

Not to mention limited conventional capabilities and probably no T/A either.

Poor choice for conversion!

Get an MT/MTS2000 for greater channel capacity with T/A.
