Which RSS Lab version?

Post by K6MJD »

I have a D37 MaxTrac that I want to convert to 900 amateur use. MaxTrac Lab V R05.30.00 gave an "Error Number 21, Radio Not Supported" when I went to blank the board so that I could install the conventional firmware. Which Lab version do I need? (Note: I am NOT looking for RSS, just the version number that will support this radio).

Thanks.

Even though the program you have will not 'read' the radio - it will BLANK the radio.

Just go to F2 - Service, then :"Blank radio with extended codeplug and clear tuning data"

You will, however, probably need a newer version of the conventional Maxtrac RSS to reinitialize the radio as a 900 conventional unit - if your version doesn't offer that as a choice.

In addition to the Maxtrac info on Batlabs, there is more good information on Kevin Custer's Repeater-builder site:

Thanks xmo. Using your instructions I was able to successfully blank the board.
