PURC 5000 Link Reciever
Has anyone tried to recrystal the link reciever down to 902mhz and if so , Whats involved
and how was the sensitivity afterwards...
Or, does a converted 800 to 900 Maxtrac work better for the reciever ?
Thank's
Randy

Re: PURC 5000 Link Reciever
we use maxtrac around here i have 12 or more 900mhz purc recievers but after you spend 50 bucks for crystals and the wait maxtracs are faster and easier to setup hope that helps

heh, wanna sell a purc reciever?

Re: PURC 5000 Link Reciever
All you need too do is change some capacitors in the multiplier stages and it will tune up with Good sensitivity .35 to .5 uv And have Good audio!
I done 5 or 6 if these receiver and all of them worked. These receiver are a lot better than a maxtrac a little more work!

Here is what I did to get the Micor receive to tune up (908) It will go down to 902. First my receive was on 929.xx mhz. I change 3 Cap's
In L101 was a 24pf >>> to 27pf
L102 was 33pf >>> to 36pf
L103 was 8pf >>> to 10pf this should get you up and going... if L104 & L105 do not tune right than
L104 was 2pf >>> 3pf
L105 was 24pf >>> 20pf that it. Make sour all cap's are NPO's
This receiver would open at .2uv and 20 db at .35uv... The manual you are looking for is (68-81063E10) Link receiver Options

Re: PURC 5000 Link Reciever
I am assuming the PURC5000 link receiver is the Micor repackaged.
I sent in the channel element to International, popped it in and tuned it. Worked wonderfully.

A 850 Mc Micro receiver helical can easially be changed to 902 by milling the internal rods ~0.1" thus improving the "Q" of the front end.
