new XPR8400

Post by johnny1225 »

Has anyone experienced with brand new XPR8400 repeater UHF running in analoge for now static on the line during transmitting. I find that the RX radio when coming thru even at the two way shop has a crackling to it during transmission. This is my second one within a week???????

What radios do you own?: Not enough apparently!

My company has installed several (both VHF and UHF, analog and digital) in the past few weeks and we haven't noticed anything strange apart from when migrating users from wide to narrow band. The repeater doesn't like wide band signals at all! Once everyone goes to NB, it works fine. I'll have to keep an eye on them though.

New XPR8400 VHF with what sounds like line noise / AC hum on the TX audio during hang time.... except it does it even with a filtered AC source. Haven't tracked the problem down yet...
