Mototrbo system

Post by johnny1225 »

I have put in a Digital Capacity Plus sytem. (1) XPR8400 Repeater UHF and 25 XPR3500 Radios and (19) XPR6550. The problem is alot of the time when a user starts to transmit the receiving radios with miss the first 5-6 seconds of the call then will start receiving. The receiving radios will flash that it is receiving but no voice til 5-6 seconds after. What could be the problem with the issue??

Thanks
John

do you have battery saver on? if so turn it off and see if that solves your issue.

Did you give each raido an individual ID that will happen if each subscriber doesnt have its own ID

Do you have privacy (encryption) enabled on the subscribers? If so, the repeater needs to be programmed for the same privacy type. Sometimes missing the first part of the call is a symptom of a repeater not having the same type of privacy enabled.

Make sure repeaters and radios have the same firmware revisions applicable in them. At minimum, the repeaters. Had issue on 900 Cap Plus system where 2 of the 3 machines were 1 rev level apart due to a failure and a depot trip. Updated 2 older ones and all worked well.
