Is there a test mode available on the XPR4550 mobiles that will show any GPS info?

Idealy I would like to see some indication of GPS antenna performance such as number of satellites and signal strength.

This is to be used an an aid during install and troubleshooting.

If you have a keypad microphone, you can press #123# which will bring up a menu that reads, "Info Request". If the current personality you're on is GPS enabled and you have a good signal, you can enter that menu and scroll over to the GPS info page.

Yes, that's true. For the 2.0 radios, all you have to do is go to the menu, then Utilities, then Radio Info and the GPS data, if available, is one of the options there.
