Gotta give them credit for sticking with the base footprint of the hardware!

The NEXEDGE™ series Digital Land Mobile Radio equipment will realize the “secrecy of voice,” “noiseless communications” and “enhancement of data communications functions,” which are possible with digital radio, but not with the conventional analogue wireless.
Secrecy of voice is not possible with analog? Really?

"Noiseless communications" is in quotes because they know damn well there is no such thing as "noiseless communications."

Seems the plague of marketing and sales reps strikes again....

gotta to give it to Kenwood, they are really stepping up their game. I love it "Nexedge" and "NexDN" can we dare call it NEXDEN?
It seems that while they aren't intended for public safety, could not help but notice the trunking system specs have feature sets such as priority scan 2 member, 8 levels of access with preemption, failsoft, etc. Alot of at mimimum Apco16 compliance for a business radio system. This is serious competition to MotoTRBO, P25 even looks dated. Note that NexDen supports IP with no need for proprietary servers, software, etc. The hardware is all PNP.

wonder how long it will be until Ma M makes a tender offer for Kenwood?
