Converting An XTS from 403-470 to 450-520??

Post by themedic66 »

Hello all,

A friend recently bought an XTS3k for $550 in the wrong band 403-470 instead of 450-520. What is involved in converting his radio to the higher UHF band; (1)what's the process, (2) parts needed, and (3) how much will this cost?

Thanks all for your help!

Replace the RF board and antenna, force a new codeplug in, and complete a full realignment. In short, not worth it.
