APX 7k - Help Fail 01/A2

Post by Logitec »

So I got an APX 7000 that I want to use on VHF. Got it cheap because it had an RF problem. I got a new Transceiver board and instated it.

Now I get Fail 01/A2. I'm pretty sure that's because the Tuner data is not there, but how do you fix this? I can't read the Tuner info or write it and I have read and written the Codeplug data, but still the same thing.

I must be missing what the actual procedure is?

Thanks!

The Detailed Service Manual Says:

"01/A2 - The radio should be sent to the depot for reflashing of the tuning codeplug followed by re-tuning of the radio."

Thanks. That's a bummer. WTH do they sell the RF board for replacement?

Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall in THAT pm!

Kinda defeats the purpose of the board...

Well if people here didn't have reputations prohibiting the sharing of useful information then i would have just posted it in the open. As I've already been told on multiple occasions the things that interest me shouldn't be talked about here then I do it via PM or on another site. Thats the side effects of what has happened around here in recent years.
