APX QCII is out
Released in CPS R12
What's New for RM Release 1.3:
RM Differential Codeplug Update (DCU):
RM POP25 / OTAP now performs differential codeplug updates, meaning only the latest changes are written to the radio and not the entire codeplug. This improves performance by programming multiple radios in the least amount of airtime possible.
RM Server "Off-Domain" Secure Connectivity to RM Components:
For "Off-Domain", "One-Time Password" programming and usage, see the RM Server Utility's "How To" on "Authorization - Add / Delete Computers" Step 4.
What's New for CPS Release R12.00.00:
LTE (Long Term Evolution) Broadband Data:
See the LTE Broadband Keystone Concept
APX Dual Radio Operation:
See the Dual Radio Operation Keystone Concept
CPS Support for the APX™ 1000 Portable Models 1.5, 2, and 3:
Entry-level / reduced feature set Portables (including support for a maximum of three Menu Items in Model 1.5)
Quik-Call II™ (QCII) Support (Decode-Only):
See the Quik-Call II Keystone Concept Topic
See the Conventional System:
General, System Type field: the "Quik-Call II" Selection is supported in this release
Quik-Call II Page
See the Conventional Personality, Non-ASTRO Call:
second and third "warning" in the Selective Call Rx / Tx field
second "warning" in the Call Alert Rx / Tx field
Concurrent Receive (Rx) Enhancement:
See the second "important note" in the Concurrent Rx Enable field
Password Security Enhancement:
Certain radio passwords are now masked by asterisks (*):
See the "important note" in the Radio Lock Unlock Password field
See the third "important note" in the Protected Zone Password field

Its not out yet
Re: APX QCII is out
Well the CPS is but the firmware to support it isn't.

Re: APX QCII is out
You would rather they release radios with firmware that doesn't yet have CPS to program it?KB9KST wrote:Nothing like putting the cart before the horse.

What's wrong with releasing them both at the same time?RFguy wrote:You would rather they release radios with firmware that doesn't yet have CPS to program it?KB9KST wrote:Nothing like putting the cart before the horse.
Re: APX QCII is out
That's the point....plus yes releasing the firmware first to me would be fine. People now have the CPS and see it in the CPS but will wonder why it doesn't work....that's why.Squad5 wrote:What's wrong with releasing them both at the same time?RFguy wrote:You would rather they release radios with firmware that doesn't yet have CPS to program it?KB9KST wrote:Nothing like putting the cart before the horse.

Re: APX QCII is out
The CPS is released at the same time the factory gets the firmware, that way when they ship you a new radio you should be prepared to program it. The firmware is not released to the field until after the factory QC starts shipping the corresponding release version.

Can anyone verify that the CPS 12 has been pulled from MOL? I was able to download it the other day, but it is no longer listed. I want to make sure it is not an issue with my account.

I don't see it on MOL today either and I was able to see it the other day so I guess Moto pulled it.joes243 wrote:Can anyone verify that the CPS 12 has been pulled from MOL? I was able to download it the other day, but it is no longer listed. I want to make sure it is not an issue with my account.

Re: APX QCII is out
How many of you have paid for it
Re: APX QCII is out
Call MOL and ask them to refresh your directory. This happens periodically. My MOL account is so old, its only 4 digits after the zeros, and this has happened several times over the last ten years or so.

APX Customer programming software (CPS) number RVN5224: A system error temporarily allowed customers to access and download the APX software without purchase. Correction of the system error will require those customers affected to purchase a three-year software subscription and complete the licensing process. Customers with pre-existing subscriptions are not impacted by this change. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

And by temporarily they meant the last 3 years...
