XTS3000 MIC Question

Post by Yosh »

Has anyone noticed that if you speak directly into the mic (behind the top Motorola label) on an XTS3000, it is a bit low in volume and a bit tinny? However, if you talk into the little hole on the side of the radio, next to the purple top button, you get beautiful, fully deviated, warm sounding audio like an Astro Saber.

I don't think this is a problem, as I've seen it on all of the XTS radios that I have used. Just curious if anyone has some insight into this.
