XTS 5000 - strange issue

Post by bezking »

I have a nice looking XTS5000 M3 here that's having an issue with the side buttons. The top side button (the purple one) is programmed for monitor and the button directly beneath it is programmed for Channel Announcement. Every now and then when I hit the monitor button it will play the channel announcement instead. Any ideas on what is causing this?
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

Its not a cheap fix you will have to replace the housing,we had a M2 that was doing this same thing. I wish I had taken it apart to see what was wrong but I trashed it. You can also put the Monitor on the ABC switch,it works better because it will stay on monitor when scanning.

just my 2 cents
