Change/Add Algorithm to Encryption Module

Post by YouHF »

I have an XTS5000 with a tri-algo encryption module which only has AES currently.

Is it possible to add DES-OFB? What is the process?

How is it a tri-algo UCM with only AES?

Stupidity creates job security!

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

CPS = Customer Programming Software, Not CPS Software.

Could it be one of the NNTN5032F "wildcard" boards? As far as I can tell they support up to 3 algos but could be flashed with 1, 2, or 3 algos...
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

I believe that is the case but I haven't physically pulled it to check. I thought you had to have one of the tri-algo boards to have AES? It only lists KG1 in the service mode.
