Help with an IFR1900 if you would be so kind

Post by BigheadRadio »

Just started using it today for the first time. I've used an 8920 for years and a 2600 before that. I was just testing a CP200 and I got everything up in Receive mode, except that there was no modulation? I know you have to generate your codes to get squelch to open when receiving, but other than lock on to the freq I've never had to do anything to hear my modulation when testing TX audio (test 1...2.). Am I missing something?
Would greatly appreciate any and all help/advice.

Simple things - is the squelch open? Is the audio routed to the speaker? I don't know the 1600 family like I know the COM120 or 2975 and I don't have one at home, but IIRC audio routing is under setup.
This is my opinion, not Aeroflex's.

I WILL NOT give you proprietary information. I make too much money to jeopardize my job.

I AM NOT the Service department: You want official info, manuals, service info, parts, calibration, etc., contact Aeroflex directly, please.
