POSSIBLE LOW VOLTAGE TROUBLE ON R2008D CRT

Post by icom98 »

Fellow Forum Members,

I'm trying to help out a friend that has a Motorola R2008D that has a problem with the CRT information shrinking vertically. We tried the adjustments on the video board, but that didn't do it. I think it's a problem with the high power section located behind the CRT, but thats just a guess because I don't have the manual. Any help or past experiences would be appreciated.

Regards,

Your problem is most likely in the vertical deflection amplifiers on the A2 module. You will find four pairs of amps (usually heatsinked together), one of these is intermittent.
