It was reported on another site that amateur wide-band in UHF is screwed up.

thanks for the heads up. Will NOT be installing R9.0 and wait for 9.01. I already went through an act of congress to get my EID's for all my machines.

Does wideband still work correctly with the APX CPS?
Re: APX CPS R10.00.00 & MotoTRBO CPS 9.0 and Tuner 10.1
I have installed both and have no issues with wideband. The new APX CPS looks a little like TRBO CPS.

Re: APX CPS R10.00.00 & MotoTRBO CPS 9.0 and Tuner 10.1
Anyone know the APX CPS v10.0 subscription p/n to order from MOL? The one I have is RVN5224R and is for 8.0x
Re: APX CPS R10.00.00 & MotoTRBO CPS 9.0 and Tuner 10.1
Well they are up to a "V" revision but you can always search by the part number with the suffix left off and you'll find the latest revision easily. Be sure to set the search criteria to "Begins with"
Re: APX CPS R10.00.00 & MotoTRBO CPS 9.0 and Tuner 10.1
Thanks...I found it that way (with "V"), but when I went to buy it, it gave me a "price not available at this time" error. So I guess I'll wait a bit. I'm ready to buy a subscription to the software.escomm wrote:Well they are up to a "V" revision but you can always search by the part number with the suffix left off and you'll find the latest revision easily. Hmmf. I just "upgraded" an APX7K to firmware 10.0.0, and it seems to have broken FPP. The FPP menu item is still there, I can enter it with the password, but when you try to select "Zn/Ch Param" it just beeps. Yes, the radio is provisioned for FPP, FPP is enabled in the CPS, and the zones are FPP.
Any ideas?

Well then, I guess I'll hold off.mab wrote:Hmmf. I just "upgraded" an APX7K to firmware 10.0.0, and it seems to have broken FPP. Now I'm going to hold off as well until someone else can comment on this behavior...

I think this problem was answered on another forum?mab wrote:Hmmf. I just "upgraded" an APX7K to firmware 10.0.0, and it seems to have broken FPP. IIRC... Reading and re-writing the radio with current CPS resolved the issue?

Yep, reading and re-writing the codeplug with CPS 10 fixed it (had been using CPS 9).Bigfella237 wrote:I think this problem was answered on another forum?mab wrote:Hmmf. Phew!
Re: APX CPS R10.00.00 & MotoTRBO CPS 9.0 and Tuner 10.1
So just to confirm...upgrading an APX7000 from R09.05.xx to R10.00.00 will still let me program (via CPS and FPP) 25Khz wideband for ham UHF1 and VHF frequencies?
Re: APX CPS R10.00.00 & MotoTRBO CPS 9.0 and Tuner 10.1
Yes. Make sure you upgrade the CPS first to R10, then update the radio from within R10. Mine is working just fine.
I always read out a fresh copy of my codeplug after every FW upgrade...
