DR-3000 Mototrbo TX failure fix

Good day
To share some facts regarding the DR-3000 repeater that could save a few $'s.
We had a repeater transmitter failure on the DR-3000 transmit unit .
Twice I re-soldered the switching diodes on the PA board .
The third time it failed I swopped the TX and RX units around and running on lower power setting and it has been falwlessly since.
I did disconnect the feedback wire on the fan unit so the fan runs high speed 24/7.
All I can think is we either received a DUD tx unit or a fan failure could have caused the overheating which permanently damaged the PA.
