XTS3000 ADP

Post by tuckerm »

I have an XTS 3000 I'd like to add an ADP key in. I have the key that we use on APX and XTL/S series. When I input it in the software encryption portion, it shows as an invalid field.

Is ADP not compatible on the 3000s?

What radios do you own?: an unhealthy amount of them

Correct, ADP is an Astro25 and newer feature.

Just an FYI - the "software encryption" option in XTS3000's in reference to encryption if you have a VSELP firmware loaded onto the subscriber.

If you need ENC with the ASTRO series (i.e. Astro Spectra / Astro Saber / XTS3000), you need an EMC or a UCM and a KVL with analog or IMBE (a.k.a. "P25 Conventional)

This is what I figured. No biggie, it's just a desk queen radio used for monitoring. I'll just upgrade it to a 2500 or something later on.
