Trying to connect a "NIB" HLN6911H Grey face O5 remote mount control head with a XTL5000 and I get a FL 05-93 code, regardless if the control head is connected to the brick or not. The radio had previously worked with an O5 control head, so I doubt it is in the brick. Plugged in a W7 head and could read the radio, info as follows:
DSP R19.50.01
Firmware R20.50.09
Software R20.01.00
Tried syncing the control head and the software could not open the USB port to the head. I am sure I am missing something obvious, any suggestions??
TIA

TIB and CHIB must match, I’ll bet the CHIB is a later variant than the TIB, or vice versa.
Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing in the world smells like that.
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like... victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

I should have marked this thread closed, the issue was the flex cable inside the control head was only connected on one end. The control head was NIB, so apparently this one slipped through Quality Control.
After plugging the cable in the head is now working fine
