APX Dual Radio

Post by n9upw »

I could have sworn I saw a topic on this but can't seem to find it. Anyway, does anyone have one up and running? Brass is wanting to try one out for the purpose of dual receive. Working as advertised?
In theory, couldn't this turn into a tri-band radio if you have a 7500 (800/UHF) & a 6500 (VHF) tied together?

Yes, my old man has one in his truck, and I have legit two factory setups here at the shop I want to get rid of for a great price, PM me for details.

That said, It works OK all things considered, he is happy with it. You can receive two signals at once, but they need to be on each RF deck, there's only one audio source per radio. I do believe you do a 6500 and 7500 together, but each will need the appropriate flash for Primary & Secondary radios. Any other questions let me know.
