Trunking system drag and drop problems

Hey guys it's been a long time since I've been here but I have a question that my searches have yielded no answer.

I am about to make a trip around my state to update our mobile radios. Some of them are XTL2500's and some are APX6500's. I've noticed that in some of the APX radios, when I drag and drop the new trunking system to the old radio, it works fine and OVERWRITES the old one with the same ID. On other radios, it will not allow me to overwrite but it WILL add the same trunking system under the original. I then have to delete the original and then re-assign the personalities and scan lists to the new updated system. Once that's done it's fine.

My question is though, why will it allow me to sometimes overwrite and sometimes not? Is it the firmware version of the radio or something else? My ASK is unlimited, and I have over 1500 radios to program so I'm just trying to make this go as smoothly as I possibly can.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe... View -> Import options -> Import Behavior is what controls the add/overwrite feature. Give it a shot and let us know if that fixes it.... Like usual someone in APX world defaulted a feature to do the opposite of what it did in Astro25.

I have seen that when there is something different in the trunking system name.

Example:
Trunking System 1
TRUNKING SYSTEM 1

It will add because the CPS thinks it is a different system. If they are exactly identical in spelling, spacing, and capitalization then it should overwrite.
