Need a definitive answer on APX & 25 kHz spacing

Post by EindhovenOne »

Can someone tell me definitively whether or not an APX radio that DOES NOT have the "Q507 - 12.5 kHz FCC Mandate" will allow a conventional channel to be programmed with 25 kHz spacing throughout its entire operating frequency range?

Thank you for your time!

Yes, throughout the entire U and V spectrum (where the Part 90 FCC mandate is required) it will allow 25 kHz wideband operation absent of Q507.
Other areas of the spectrum and other Rule parts, such as 700 & 800 MHz and Marine, have their own set of rules and is unaffected by Q507.
