APX8000 Mobile Charger-NNTN7624

Post by ASTROMODAT »

Hi, Gang!

In addition to charging the battery, does the NNTN7624 APX8000 mobile charger also support monitoring the radio's receive audio via the radio's internal speaker, whilst simultaneously charging in the pocket, or is it meant to be used ONLY for charging? The Motorola User Guide alludes to the fact that the NNTN7624 is meant for charging only. If so, I can't figure why this might be. (BTW, I don't want to use the NNTN8527 APX Vehicular Radio Adaptor, as in the past, I have experienced damaged side connectors on the previous older portable radios after too many jerk & runs in/out of the ConvertaComs.)

Thanks!

I suspect that it will work fine for monitoring while charging but will likely take longer to fully charge the battery.

We have officers who leave the radio on and monitor it while in the vehicle chargers.
