I am trying to help an adjacent county with the 911 Dispatch center and some issues they are seeing. They have a two position MCC550, and the problem is when mobiles or portables call into dispatch using P25 encyption, they are only getting one word out of two. It seems the mobiles can talk to each other fine. This is a Quantar P25 conventional type system.

They have more then one repeater, so it seems to be an issue with the 5500 itself. Any thoughts?

Are they wirelined directly into the 5500 backend or are they using control stations? Are the control stations consolettes or just mobile radios?
