Helicopter adapter & Pinout for XTS 3000/5000

Post by Anynomouse »

I want to make an interface for an XTS 3000 handheld for the intercom on our helicopters; but I need the pinout and audio specs (impedences, voltages, etc.)

Thanks,

My problem is that I don't know the pinout and audio specs for the XTS. Once I get that, I can figure it out. This is a military helicopter with a 5 ohm mike and 19 ohm parallel headphones. I will be wiring it to a VOX circuit so it will "talk" to the ICS like a crewmember, but it will take a seperate push to talk button.

i would be wary with this. For one, everything that is connected to the Hellicopter has to be FCC type accepted for that specific airframe. Also RF has a tendency to wreak havoc with avionics. Be careful with this one.
