ONE head to control 2 radios cdm's? fact or fiction?

Post by giguchan »

I heard from questionable ssource that Moto has delevoped a single control head that will control 2 tranceivers of diffrent Bands, I cant seem to find anything about this , So i think it may be rubbish.this would be ideal for me and my cdm's but i think it may be all too good to be true.

Anyone hear of anything like this?

If you've got about $10k burning a hole in your pocket you can buy an XTL5000 dual radio setup with a W3 control head.

Years ago I did this with Systems 90 heads, but never tried it with a CDM. I don't know how you would steer the control bus and volume without an intermediate arbitration box.

There may have been a real Moto SP out there, but I'm not aware of it. Obviously they have done it with several other models. It may be possible, but they are chicken teeth.

The RF Harris Tyco Macom Ericsson GE Orions have that set up> Just removed my set up from my Chevy. Had a UHF and an 800 on one control head. If you get the right cables you can use a one handed mike/control head on 2 radios. Works great!

Q: Does this unit come with a speaker?
