This was a down and dirty install in the wife's Exploder so I can stay in contact with her and listen to local agencies/weather.
From thought to finish was under an hour, including the line filter under the hood.
Standard NMO 1/4 wave highband whip in forward center of roof, feeding down the 'A' pillar on pass. side.

looks good to me
Re: Maxtrac install in '99 Exploder
Thanks!
Then the wife queried me as to 'when' she'll be able to contact me on the radio, I waited for her to go off to work, and hammered out an install for her.
She didn't even notice the radio UNTIL she started the truck, and that familiar 'Trac 'BEEP' got her attention.
Today, she's out east, near Clifton, AZ, so I gave her a CT450 to use on our LTR channel.
She used to ignore the radio until she found out they really do work...now she wants me to make up a 'mobile solution' for her work vehicle so she can take it all with her on out of town trips.
I might have to accomodate her with a solution later today.
