Radius M208 Hack?

Post by Search »

Quick question on the "codeplug editors" out there...
Just recieved a lowband 30-36 mhz Radius M208 from a board member today. It looks like they were only using it for 1 frequency, so I added as many possible modes as I could, 8. I attempted to hack the codeplug to allow it to give me more additional channels, as well as scan capability, but the RSS will not recognize the file after it's been edited. The only option that I see this radio currently having is MDC/QCII Signalling. I've hacked some portables before with no problem, but this is the first time I ran into a problem. The model # is a D51LRA9732BK. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks guys

Read this:

http://www.batlabs.com/maxrad.html

There is a method of doing a modification on the mdf file, not the codeplug described.

I've done the MDF hack as described on batlabs - turned an M208 into an M216 with little problem.

Just make SURE you check the checksum before you start to play.
