synchronizing led lights

Post by gtl7001 »

Hi Folks

I am planning to hardwire a pair of Whelen LED slimlighters and was wondering if anyone has an idea on how to synchronize them so that they flash together using the same patterns. Many thanks

Just use a headlight flasher on the + leads to the dashlight and obviosuly ground the - leads. I've found that the rapid-double flash pattern is excellent and works really well syncronized. You can also make use of the Cali-modes with this setup for a really interesting effect.

Well if they are the Super LEDS series TIR there is a wire that you hook together and there is a way to program the lights with one of the wires or short out the internal tab.

no, they dont.
the slimlighters dont have synch options.

the TIR dashmisers have a synch version, as does the talon.

And i've got a red TIR6 slimlighter, and a amber gen 1 slimlighter...
And a plan.

And matt, it does involve telephone wire

I got my Talon today...I like it!

After I run it for a bit, I think I'm gonna sell it and get some of the sync'd Talons and go bonzo...

Thanks to everyone who offered their know-how. I do have a pair of gen 1 slimlighters on hand and they will be used to provide visual warning directly to the rear.
