P50 programming

Hello,
Does anyone know whether or not the P50 is dip switch programmed or does it require RSS.

Hi:

Sorry to report the P50 Series radios
are ( NOT FREQUENCY ) Programmable. They
" DO " have a Dip Switch but that is for
the selection of the tones. ( PL / DPL )

In order to change frequecies in a P50
one must change out the Crystals, and depending on the Mother Board you may
or may not have to realighn the radio for
the new freqs installed.

In short, when properly set up, the p50 is
not all that bad of a radio for its " Size"
advantage.

Not to be confused with the SP50's which
are fully programmable.
