Greetings,

Have a module here which says NLD8120B. Have done a search on M website and the result says 'HYBRID IC, SYNTHESIZER 38U05'. Anyone has any detail info on this part? Also what radio uses this part? TIA.

Hi:

I think you have your Modules / Part numbers mixed up.

I looked at my module list, and I found
the NLD8121 which is a PA in the ( 136-150.
range, and the NLD8122 wich is a PA in the
146-162 range, but NO NLD8120....

According to the Motorola latest Parts ID
Catalog, there is no NLD8120 listed

I suspect you might be looking for a NLD8201A
which is a sythesizer/VCO for the 136-151 Mhz Range.

Anyhow, that is what's on the list.

I guess my eyes are not as good as they use
to be.

The NLD8201A is the 136-151 and
The NLD8210A is the 146-174 Mhz
range Synthesizer/ VCO as Elroy
made the corection.

I hate these dam numbers which are close !!

MS

Hi MS,

Sorry about the typo. Yes, it should read as NLD8210. Is this meant for Saber series?

The NLD8210 is the VHF VCO/synthesizer module for Saber radios, with an operating bandwidth of 145 to 175 MHz you can rely on. Some of these VCO's will go significantly higher or lower than that.
