R100 Programing problem
Moderator: Queue Moderator
Hi:
Programming the R100 can be a experience.
I have used a Toshiba T3200SX for years as my programming platform, and so far, no problems encountered.
FORGET Toshiba T1000's ( Period ) For what
ever reason, that series just will not work
on Motorola radios.
As you may or may not know, the R100 Series
does " Not" require the Rib Box....so that might be a problem if you are trying to use
one as the R100 cable has a DB25F on the end.
Also, you might have a problem with the DB25M
to RS-232 Cable. Not all work !!
Also, make sure you are on COM 1, and its
not shared with anything else. Do NOT try
and use a DOS based program while under a Window95 OS....Just to be sure...Some try.
So, I would recommend checking to see if your
" Computer " programming platform is stable, then proceed to the next step.
I have 1 page of the instructions on my
web site if you decide to email me, I
will give you a address.
Its also possible your RSS is corrupt as well. These days with copies being made
time and again, the programs are not all
complete and you definately do not want to
corrupt a code plug in a R100 since there is
very few persons familure with them.

The R100 software will NOT work if you have the dreaded Windows 95 or higher on your computer, it needs DOS 5 thru Dos 6.22 ONLY.
I have a small help file for the R100 programing s/w. I also have a Ham radio version for the UHF R100. These are NOT for sale or trade. The help file is my own so I can pass that along.
Monte, I am also interested in your webpage.

everything is completed.
I am a do it yourself type, and well, I do
not have a unlimited amount of time
Some of my own stuff, and links to other
