LED Grille Lights

Hey everyone. I finally found a place where I can address stuff about lights/sirens/radio/electrical.

Anyway, I currently run 4 corner strobes with a 6/90 pack and the TIR Slimlighter (R/R). I would like to get some LED Grille Lights to go with them. I have a 2000 Ford Ranger. Any suggestions. . . . people with good experience?

LSHlights.com has a good deal on 2 911EP stars with an LED flasher for $110. I was also looking at the Whelen TIR3 surface mounts. I had the Sho Me LED Grille lights, but they got condensation in them and stunk. Thanks for the help.

Whelen Linear LED 500 Series remote LED heads or TIR3 LED heads. They both kick ass. The TIR3's only need +12vdc and they syncronize themselves to any of their 7,000 patterns.

How would you go about mounting them as a grill light though; they are surface mounts right?

if they're surface mount, you can use any kind of L bracket or even a piece of angle iron cut to your EXACT specifications that you need for your job...and quite simply i might add.

The TIRs are super bright straight ahead, but totally blow donkey beyond any angle over about 15 degrees from center.

Lately I have been using a lot of the sho-me LED's - Been very happy with them!

i too have installed some sho me LED this weekend on my new truck even had a local cop pull me over after a fire call to ask what kind i have

This is how I did the 500 Series grill LED's. This is done in my 2K3 Ranger an a cohort's Dodge Dakota and it works great.

i have did the angle Bracket thing with the tir3 they work great.We have a lot of havis consol brakets parts laying around cut them up they work Great

c'mon matt! black enamel those brackets!!!!

AND WHY AREN'T THOSE CONNECTORS WEATHERPROOFED!???

Those crimp connectors would last about 2 months in Pennsylvania!

They are now. Those were taken during installation. The brackets are black now and the connections are sealed up all nice. With the brakets black and the clear lense on the LED's, you can hardles see them behind the grill.... until they are turned on
