Nextel hard install kits - do they use the same parts?

Post by chipjumper »

Anyone know if the hard install kits share the same parts (cables, control box). I understand they come with different phone cradles for different phone models.

I own just the phone cradle for the i90c and I need the control box.

Would this one work for my i90c cradle?

They should work within a model series to the best of my knoledge.

I have a set kicking around for those phones, and if you want it, drop me a PM.

Any credible cellphone tech would also have the Motorola-approved Nextel repair kit consisting of:

1) Stanley 3# ball-peen hammer
2) Broom and dustpan
3) Gasoline and lighter

They will not interchange all the time.

I have 3 different I90 install kits and two are the same and the third is TOTALLY different. I also have a kit for a I58 it is different than my any of my I 90 kits.

However I think that in the recent past the kits have been more or less standardized.

If the kits are fairly recent you shouldn't have any problems

Good Luck

Smackin, yes but I plan on using a i90c cradle with an i85 brain...
