A sad, sad, thing. The Spectra. Possibly THE best mobile ever....at least at the transceiver perspective.

All good things must come to and end. I wonder what sort of cheap, overpriced crap will replace them.

I have a couple of Spectras with DES. Excellent radios.

Hello.

You can get aftermarket mounts, panels, faceplates, etc, for the railroad spectras.
You can get aftermarket housings for just about ANY cellphone.
Just depends on what the market will "bear" :lol: .
Time for batlabs radio products.
Classic radio product support.
Some things, like the MT500 crystal board, are a better idea, at least for the hobbyist, than the original.
