I have a GM300 465.0000 to 495.0000 I have programed the radio out of band and it work fine on the lower side (459.5750). But on the top end (500.48750)I can't get radio to pick up anything unless I hold in the monitor button for a few seconds. and it is scratchy. The channels are set to CSQ for the RX and TX. I have tried to use PL's and I got the same problem. The radio transmits on the low end fine but again on the top end it is scratchy. I also have tried to lower the freq a few meg but it didn't help. Can someone please help me out here. Thank you

Will the radio need to be realigned? Is this a problem with the VCO not locking on the higher channels. Someone please help me on this one. Anything is better than nothing. Thanks

The VCO needs to be aligned. It is failing to lock where you want it. It is an easy enough thing to do on your own, if you have the equipment. The only thing I will suggest is using a delrin tunig wand. When using metal or certain hard plastics to tune it the can will crack!

Good luck & enjoy
