Kenwood DPL into Mot radio

Post by ltec123 »

Hi
Is it possible to put in a Kenwood DPL of 461 into a Motorola radio?

I know it's not in Motorolas' list. But is it possible to use a different DPL or PL maybe with invert, and make it work?

Thanks guys!

"Kenwood DPL" ????? DPL is a trade mark of Motorola.

DCS is the common term used to describe Digital Coded Squelch system and Motorola devolpoed it in the late 70's.

Most DCS codes are the same as the Motorola DPL codes.

That may be a DPL that Motorola doesn't use because that code may cause interference with other DPL's. This has been discussed before on this board. Try doing a search.
