Repeater Controller

Post by grinthock »

Just a few questions regarding repeater services.

If one had a Micor on 70cm for use as an Amateur repeater, how could you provide DTMF services such as time/date, S-Meter Readings, and of course repeater IDENT?

Please excuse my ignorance, repeaters/controllers are not my forte nor expertice.

thx.

There are many amature and commercial controllers available that perform the functions you require.

The one I like is

What interface does it use for control? Audio? Data interchange?

Most repeaters I've ever worked on just have the controllers interface with TX Audio, RX Audio, PTT and COR.
