That depends on your personal preference. I suggest you search the forums to find past information posted on each model, and develop an objective approach to the subject.

I've got a VHF spectra that I absolutely love. I'm not certain but, I'm pretty sure that the spectra can be had in A7 form for less than an MCS2000. If it will do what you need it to do, and you want to save some money, that may be the best option for you.
