Need assistance with programming a tk730 mobile. I cant get the radio to read or write. Im using a KPG-7D software & KPG-4 cable under DOS. Is there a special trick to program these radios???
HELP ASAP : I have a medic unit in my driveway that needs to go out on MONDAY !!!!!!!!!!

Depending upon the control head you need to hold down a button while powering it up. The display will show "program" if its a KCH-4 head. I think PR if it's a basic KCH-3 head. On the KCH-4 it's the button just to the right of the channel selector. Not sure on the 3 head, try all of them one at a time.
Hold button 1 when turning the radio on. Button 1 is located just to the right of the volume and channel wheels. According to the help file in the software that is for both control heads.

Everything you all said worked. This is my first Kenwood installation (Dual Heads) and the Rescue Squad didnt have any information on the radio.

I have a TK330, TK705, TK730 and a TK830. Also have service manuals for the 705 and 830 if you need any more info.
